Richard Lindberg is a White Sox historian, a 52-year-old native of Norwood Park who became a White Sox fan at the age of 10.
In 1985, he was dubbed the team's official historian, but now serves only as an unofficial fact-finder and die-hard fan. His passion has led him to author four books on the White Sox, including "The White Sox Encyclopedia," printed by Temple University Press.
As the White Sox prepare to play in their first World Series in 46 years, we talked with Lindberg about the past and the present, and how this team will be remembered. Here is an edited transcript of the interview, which came roughly 12 ...
