Obesity is rapidly becoming a major threat to healthcare systems, not just in the United States but also across Europe and Asia, warn two major reinsurers. "Obesity is a long-term serious problem for the insurance industry," Franz Benstetter, head of managed care at Munich Re, told Best's Review.
