Coaches and physical educators would likely agree that practicing a skill leads to a greater development of that skill. Darst and Pangrazi (2001) reinforce this idea by suggesting that without practice activities, participants will demonstrate little improvement. Unfortunately, practice is sometimes a luxury, considering the limited amount of time that students spend in physical education each week. The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE, 2006) recommends that elementary students spend a minimum of 150 minutes in physical education and that middle and high school students participate for 225 minutes per week.
