When asked to discuss an important development within physical education that is so overwhelming it is met with skepticism, I was at odds. True, I think that--as an independent field--physical education has come a long way in developing a major research focus from humble beginnings. Yet, because of the very nature of the thoughts that came to mind, I could think of colleagues who would say, "Everything you have said is hogwash!" Thus, I may have taken a different approach to the focus of this symposium than the other contributors.
The term Hogzilla brings to mind an image that could easily lead to a discussion of obesity. While a discussion of obesity is valid, many others ...
