Tree ferns have become one of the trendy plants of the new millennium, with any garden centre worth its salt having a collection of fern logs stuck in pots looking like the pipes of some rustic organ.
As befits trendy plants they tend to be tagged with prices that show due respect to fashion, so if you are paying premium prices the least you can expect is premium plants and service.
