Sudanese president: Darfur conflict can be resolved through dialogue

KHARTOUM, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese President Omar Hassan al- Bashir said on Sunday that his government could resolve the conflict in Darfur through dialogue.

"The Sudanese people and their government are capable of reaching a solution to the problem in Darfur through constructive dialogue," al-Bashir told reporters here.

According to UN figures, some 30,000 people have been killed and more than a million have fled their homes in the conflict.
