A GREAT TREASURE has been returned to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Formerly known as the Old Suffolk County Courthouse, the John Adams Courthouse on Boston's historic Pemberton Square is now open, again, for business.

Named for our most eminent citizen, this magnificent building tells a powerful story of freedom and the rule of law.

John Adams's first love was Abigail and their family. His second love was the law. As Boston's most able lawyer, he led the community in resisting the oppressive and tyrannical acts of King and Parliament in the turbulent years before the Revolution. The people admired him.
