Rubin Knows Her Time of Arrival

Chanda Rubin never wanted to be the youngest player to win a match at Wimbledon, or the youngest to win a Grand Slam title, or the youngest, period. That didn't matter.

She is 19 now, too old to be a phenom in this sport, where players have been known to win Grand Slam titles at age 16, and a 14-year- old named Martina Hingis is expected to give veteran Gabriela Sabatini a challenge on Stadium Court on Sunday afternoon.
