HIGH SCHOOLS INVITED TO ENTER TREBUCHET COMPETITION DURING ENGINEERING WEEK

The University of Mississippi issued the following news release:

A competition for budding engineers to design and build a gravity-powered catapult for a tennis ball hurling match is among the highlights of the University of Mississippi's annual Engineering Week activities.

The Trebuchet-Building/Tennis Ball Hurling contest is set for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in the Ole Miss Indoor Practice Facility, just south of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. High school students and teachers from throughout north Mississippi are invited to participate. Registration deadline is Feb. 2.
